The laboratory is intened for students who are interested in carrying out a
project in the area of computer systems and subsystems in general, and parallel
ones in particular. Additional prerequisite and concurrent courses
(undergraduate and graduate) will be determined for each topic.
Project topics will include design of systems, construction of development tools
for advanced systems, as well as performance evaluation through measurement and
simulation. Projects will entail development of systems software and/or hardware
as necessary, with particular emphasis on system performance and the contributors to it.
This labortory may constitute a first step in formulating a research topic in the field.
