Survey of Newtonian mechanics. Variational principles and Lagrange equations.
Conservation laws. Central force and the two body problem. Scattering.
Motion of rigid bodies: Euler angles, inertia tensor, the gyroscope.
Small oscillations: vibrational mode as an eigenvalue problem.
Canonical formalism: Hamiltonian, canonical transformations, Poisson brackets,
Lioville theorem. Hamilton-Jacobi equation.
